Matty D. Media’s reputation is built on video production, but also offers a wide variety of photography services for local businesses around Kansas City.
Capturing Real Scenes, Professional Polish
Our media producers are trained to research the backstory before the shoot and react to the realities during the shoot. Our media producers capture real scenes and give them a professional polish. Our photographers document brands in action. Our photography focuses not only on the final product, but the people providing the customer service. We specialize in photography for a variety of local business needs. Matty D. Media photographers can capture the standard package of business photos which includes company leaders, storefront establishers, and team photos. However, we can also capture photos from 400 feet above sea level with our commercially licensed drone pilots. Throughout this article, we will walk you through the versatility and transparent pricing that our crew provides.

Brand Photography Process Overview
Professional brand photography helps businesses show real people, real work, and real environments. Our photographers typically spend 1–2 hours on site and capture at least 20 photos for delivery. A standard photography package includes the actions, spaces, and faces that bring a small business to life. These images are commonly used for websites, social media, LinkedIn profiles, and marketing materials.
We use professional cameras and lighting when needed to create clean, polished photos. Images are edited for color and overall quality, but we do not add unrealistic elements that were never there. For example, we may lightly retouch a blemish, but we will not heavily alter someone’s appearance.

Example of a 30 Photo Brand Photography Package
This example shows how a local business might organize a 2 hour photography session with approximately 30 edited image deliverables. The exact mix of photos depends on the goals of the business, the size of the location, and the amount of time needed for lighting and setup.
- 3 photos — Exterior building signage and wide property shots
- 5 photos — Two shots between staff members and clients or customers
- 4 photos — Group shots of the team or department
- 5 photos — Interior office spaces, lobby areas, or work environments
- 7 photos — Action shots of employees working naturally
- 5 photos — Close-up detail shots of products, tools, and/or branded materials
- 3 photos — Professional headshots of ownership or leadership

4K video production also creates high-resolution still frame photography
Capturing 4K video footage can also create opportunities for high-resolution still frame exports. During video production, individual frames from the footage may be exported as sharp images for websites, social media, thumbnails, or marketing campaigns. This approach allows businesses to gather both professional video and supplemental photography coverage during the same production assignment, helping maximize the value of a shoot day.

Behind-the-scenes photos strengthen marketing campaigns
Behind-the-scenes photography helps businesses show the real people and processes behind their work. These images can capture team meetings, production environments, customer interactions, or everyday moments inside the workplace. Businesses often use behind-the-scenes photos for social media posts, blog articles, recruiting efforts, and website updates because they help audiences feel a stronger human connection with the brand.

Rich history of capturing stories around Kansas City
Matty D. Media founder Matt DeSarle started the Kansas City area of his career capturing sports photos with the ABC News Station in Kansas City from 2013-2015. That included the excitement of covering the World Series Champion Royals and covering the Kansas City Chiefs training camps.
A network of photographers drive collaborations
Since 2015, Matty D. Media has been tag-teaming media coverage with a shortlist of great photographers who also serve Topeka, Lawrence, and the entire Kansas City region. Those experienced photographers include Kristol Kumar and Carter Gaskins, to name a few. If our media producers are focused on video and need a hand gathering professional photos, we rely on our professional network with a history of collaborations. These photographers also have an understanding of how their photography may be used in the videos we produce.

Brand Photography Pricing
Our photography rate is $66 per hour. That price includes the photographer’s time, experience, camera equipment, and lighting equipment where needed. Hair, make-up, and similar cosmetic services are not included.
Most business photo sessions begin around $130 for a basic 1–2 hour shoot. After that, pricing is also based on the number of edited images delivered. The editing process takes time, especially when photos need detailed color correction or cleanup. This pricing structure allows businesses to choose the amount of coverage and editing that fits their budget. A price per image rate is normally estimated in the initial bid. For example, we may deliver 30 photos for $10 per image after the $132 baseline of the photographer’s time on site. Therefore, a 2 hour shoot that delivers 30 photos might cost $432.
