Analogue video tapes are becoming antiques. People who still have memories trapped on these tapes are running out of options. Even the camcorders and VCR’s used to play these tapes are becoming more scarce. This includes 8mm and Hi8 tapes. Luckily, our VHS to Digital service has expanded our transferring abilities to include 8mm and Hi8 video tapes. We added this technology in 2022 to rescue memories from the 1980s and 90s.
A Sharp VL-A111U Video 8 Camcorder is taking customers down memory lane at the Matty D. Media office. Our equipment can play both 8mm and Hi8 tapes. Therefore, our service is able to digitize more memories for more local families.
