Video Production for “Rock the Block Kick Cancer”
During this special event, Matty D. Media CEO Matt DeSarle interviewed two Elvis Presleys, but the real rock star was cancer survivor Megan Hill. Rock the Block, Kick Cancer is an annual party thrown by the LMH Endowment Association. The event raises money for the hospital’s oncology department and celebrates those who have survived cancer. The event also honors local residents who have died as a result of cancer.
Hill, a long-time Lawrence resident, talked on-camera about her life-threatening struggle against breast cancer. She shared her triumph, and credited the world-class treatment from Lawrence Memorial Hospital doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers. She “kicked” cancer.
With Halloween right around the corner, many attendees dress up in costume to “Kick Cancer,” in a very symbolic way.
This was the third video production for Matty D. Media with the LMH Endowment Association. Videos were also produced in 2017 for the “Penny Jones Open” and “Summer Spray 5K” fundraising events.
“It’s just awesome to produce for an organization that produces so many positive outcomes for our community,” said producer Matt DeSarle.
